If so, we are worm farmers. We keep them in a rubbermaid container with screen on the top. We don't live in a climate where we can keep them outside, at least right now.
All is not lost with your nicely drilled kitty litter container! We've successfully repurposed exactly the same thing into "experimentally-sized" food digesters in our yard. These instructions use a trash can, but you'll get the idea.
